Start with nights, occupancy and exact dates. Add meals, local transport, intercity journeys, admissions and accommodation taxes. Keep flights, luggage and insurance in separate lines so they are not omitted.
An example, not a market average
For a mid-range city day, our allowance is €60–100 per person for half a shared double room, €35–55 for meals and €15–35 for local transport and attractions. The total is €110–190 before flights, intercity travel, local tax and special dinners. These are editorial budgeting assumptions, not live quotes.
Use operator fares for fixed items
Lisbon and Porto have different transport products. A pass only helps if its coverage fits the route. Use the checked prices in our reference page: no single tourist card covers every city, train and attraction. Keep a reserve for a delayed journey or extra transfer and price tasting menus separately.
