Start with the evening you want

The Galerias de Paris area is a starting point for a bar-focused night. For a performance, choose a specific programme rather than assuming a cultural venue has fado every night. A late dinner, concert and several bars may be too much for one evening.

Make reservations count

Check the venue’s programme, start time and entry policy. A restaurant booking is not automatically a performance ticket. Decide whether you want to remain seated or move between places, and consider your accommodation when choosing the final stop.

Plan the return

Check the last useful public transport service and an alternative. Keep noise down in residential streets. Drinks and entry charges vary, so set a personal limit and ask about any minimum spend before sitting down. Leave enough time for sleep if your next morning includes a timed train or attraction.
