Current adult listings include the €20 Essential Visit and €45 Complete Visit. Compare the rooms and spaces included before buying. Do not assume every palace-labelled ticket covers the same interiors. The operator also offers a park visit as a separate option.
The ticket time matters
Palace entry uses a date and time. Allow time to reach Sintra, find onward transport and walk inside the grounds. The ticket time is not the moment to arrive at the railway station. Save the instructions supplied with the booking and check notices before setting off.
Plan for the hill
Vehicle restrictions apply on the palace hill. Use the operator’s access guidance rather than a navigation app to find parking at the gate. Bring shoes for slopes and a layer for changing weather. Cloud can hide the view, so visit for the palace and landscape rather than a guaranteed photograph. Keep the afternoon flexible.
