Start in the old town
Arrive at Cascais station, walk into the centre and build your visit around the bay. Combine a town beach, the streets around Praça 5 de Outubro and a meal without filling every hour. This is a suggested walking plan, not a guided tour or timed attraction.
Choose a museum or coastal walk
Cultural choices include Casa das Histórias Paula Rego and Museu Condes de Castro Guimarães. Check individual opening days and tickets through the official tourism directory. Boca do Inferno makes a separate coastal walk; use designated viewing areas. The casino is Casino Estoril, in neighbouring Estoril. Costa da Caparica is not a Cascais beach.
Leave room for the return
Take the Cascais line from Cais do Sodré and check the actual timetable. Stay near the station for a straightforward car-free base. At seafood restaurants, ask whether fish is priced by weight and how many people a portion serves. Compare room prices for your exact dates, cancellation conditions and local tax.
