Days 1–2 · Lisbon
Use your arrival day for Baixa, the riverfront and a meal near your accommodation. Keep any prepaid attraction away from an uncertain flight arrival. On the second day choose Belém or a deeper historic-centre visit.
Use our three-day Lisbon route as a menu rather than trying to fit all of it into two days. Match museum opening days and your walking capacity.
Day 3 · Sintra
Take a train that serves Sintra and check the departure station for your chosen service. Pick one main palace, with timed entry where required, and a second attraction only if transfers and visiting time allow. Pena Essential and Complete are different packages.
Leave time for lunch in the town and a pastry stop. Regaleira is a separate ticket. Avoid adding Cabo da Roca and Cascais to an already full palace day unless you remove other visits and have arranged realistic transport.
Day 4 · Transfer to Porto
Book the intercity journey for your actual date with CP or your chosen operator. Compare stations, total journey time, baggage arrangements and fare conditions. A low promotional fare is not a price available on every departure.
After checking in, take a short Ribeira walk. Keep the evening easy and save timed visits for the following days.
Days 5–6 · Porto and Gaia
Spend one day in the Porto historic centre and one around Gaia and your chosen cellar visit. Use the three-day Porto itinerary for walking order and optional visits.
Choose one or two paid attractions each day. Book any special dinner directly and check the menu, drinks and cancellation terms.
Day 7 · Departure or a final neighbourhood
Choose Foz or a nearby neighbourhood only if your departure time leaves enough room. Otherwise enjoy breakfast and travel to the airport or station without a last-minute detour.
This route ends in Porto. If your flight leaves Lisbon, reserve time and budget for the return journey, preferably the previous day when an early flight is involved.
Budget and booking
Use €110–190 per person per day as an illustrative mid-range city allowance when sharing a room, not as a guaranteed trip price. Intercity journeys, flights, local accommodation taxes and special meals are extra. Your travel dates and selected attractions can change the total substantially.
Compare the checked transport and admission prices before choosing passes. Pay only through your chosen operator's official booking channel and check cancellation conditions.
